We will have pre made pieces of vitrigraph, glass we pull out of the kiln thru a hole in the bottom of the kiln, for you to select from to create your heart.  You will select your base color and accent color, add your heart and decorate as you choose.  This plate may be decorative or useful, your choice.  If decorative it will fit into the stands used with the Sugar Skull plate and Christmas plate. Supplies:  Cost of the base glass, accent glass, any dichro you choose to use, and a stand if needed.  We will provide additional embellishments, the vitrigraph glass, kiln paper and firing. Pendant lights can be a focal in any room if the glass globe is unique. We will teach you how easy it is to make your own pendant light globes.  This same technique makes excellent up lights as well.  You will have your choice to make either a pendant light to hang or an up light to display on a lamp base. Glass is extra, pendant light mechanics and lamp bases are not included. We have been asked many times to offer our expertise on designing custom panels.  In this class, we will share lots of tips and techniques to make design elements more understandable.  When you are finished with the class you will be able to create a design for a specific size, using your own design elements or from other patterns, or pictures while using a variety of proper reinforcement techniques.  Our customers always tell us this class was well worth taking. “I learned so much from this class.  There was more to this than I expected and you made the process so easy.” In this class, done in three consecutive days,  we will only create the design.  Be prepared to come to class with an opening size and a general idea of what you might want as your focal. These nightlights are great for any age any room and they are easy and fun to make.  Using a white or clear base glass and a variety of colored glass you will create a design of your choosing. Also, available to you, are glass balls, frit and vitriograph.  Make two fused pieces.  No Experience needed. Get The Lead Out Boot Camp: Intermediate | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Traditional Lead construction is the method of the masters.  Lead method is wonderful in larger windows, sidelights, and doors and is a great technique for geometric designs and straight lines.  During this class, you will construct an elegant window while learning the complete process of working with lead channel (came).  We will discuss the different types of lead came and in the end, you will “play in the mud” during the glazing process.  Prerequisite:  Tiffany Foil Method.    Students must have all glass cut, ground, and ready to assemble prior to class. Bring a design idea to class and we will show you how to mosaic your design on a 3-piece hinged tryptic glass base.  Each piece of the tryptic is about 6” x 12”.  This is a grout less technique. Class fee includes kiln firing for any glass you might want to shape, and nippers for in class use.
