What is the next step after the Garden Mushrooms, the Bell Mushrooms of course. These mushrooms have a great look and shape to them and their stems are copper tubing which will add a great patina to it as the copper ages.  In this class, you will make 1 mushroom. 

Prerequisite:  None

Supply:  We will provide a base color for you to decorate with our colored pieces.  Or you may select a specific color to top the base color of the mushroom for the cost of the glass.

Frit Slurry Wind Chime

Our experience has been, do one and you will be back to make more. Everyone has loved doing the Frit Slurry workshop, now we are making it into a wind chime.

Select your colors to decorate a flat glass header for the chime.  Do the slurry technique on the wind chime dangles or decorated them with pieces of colored glass.

We will demonstrate how to assemble you chime at home.

Create an 11” square basket weave slumped plate! Create an illusion and enjoy your finished basket weave plate. No previous skills necessary. We will teach you how to strip cut glass and layout a beautiful woven project. Students may create on top of their basket weave. You may purchase precut designs or add vitrigraph, wherever your imagination leads you.

Supply Fee:You will need to 12" squares of glass, your choice.                                          Release paper and firing included.

Students will need to purchase their glass from Stained Glass Crafters Workbench.

Do you always look at your soldering and think why doesn't mine look like the professionals?  Do you get bleed thru on your solder seams and don't know how to stop that from happening?  Do you get volcanoes/fish eyes and want to know how to easily close them up?  These are some of the issues we address in this class along with proper use of your equipment.

Traditional Lead construction is the method of the masters.  Lead method is wonderful in larger windows, sidelights, and doors and is a great technique for geometric designs and straight lines.  During this class, you will construct an elegant window while learning the complete process of working with lead channel (came).  We will discuss the different types of lead came and in the end, you will “play in the mud” during the glazing process. 

Prerequisite:  Tiffany Foil Method.   

Students must have all glass cut, ground, and ready to assemble prior to class.
